Being leaders in the field of liver care and research, we offer the most-advanced treatment for liver disorders including:
- Viral Hepatitis
- Fatty Liver Disease
- Autoimmune Liver Disease
- Liver Cancer
- Cirrhosis
- Ascites
- Encephalopathy
We offer on-site imaging services, and liver cancer surveillance using the most up to date Ultrasound technologies
We offer non-invasive ways of assessing liver injury and scarring. Fibroscan is a state-of-the-art method of assessing liver fibrosis, and in many cases, a Fibroscan can be used rather than a liver biopsy.
We also offer pre- and post-liver transplant care in conjunction with the Liver Transplant Center at UTHSCSA. Many patients with advanced liver disease need these advanced services, including surgical, radiologic and cancer treatment options. Research with artificial liver devices is being conducted, along with other exciting options for patients with severe liver disease.
Nearly all forms of health care insurance are accepted at TLC, and for patients with no health care coverage, we have alternative payment plans available.
