A FOND FAREWELL
We would like to join together to say farewell to Dr. Jennifer Wells as of November 29th. Dr. Wells will be taking a sabbatical for a few months before embarking on her next career adventure. Dr. Wells joined TLI in 2015 and has been instrumental in the expansion of TLI to Austin. During her 6 years with TLI, she has made an ever-lasting impression on patients and colleagues alike, bringing her empathy, advocacy and clinical expertise to a city that really needed it. Her patients will certainly miss her but they will continue to get the same great care from our other providers.
The Texas Liver Institute (TLI) is thrilled to be serving Travis County and the surrounding areas through our office in Austin. Transplant Hepatologists, Dr. Jennifer Wells and Dr. Carmen Landaverde have expertise in the full spectrum of liver disease and vast experience caring for complex patients.
Texas Liver Institute specializes in the management of patients with viral hepatitis, autoimmune and fatty liver disease as well as those diagnosed with cirrhosis and liver cancer. In addition to general hepatology, those patients in need of more advanced care will undergo pre and post-transplant assessment. These assessments will be done within our Austin facility and coordinated with the University Transplant Center in San Antonio. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology that includes elastography, which is a non-invasive method of measuring liver stiffness. Our goal is to provide excellence in care while minimizing the inconveniences of travel.
